About the role:
We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst to manage and support day-to-day IT Service Delivery – with a focus on support of Workspace Solutions and Line of Business Applications such as ERP and Production Scheduling Systems.
Reporting to the ICT Director, as an IT Support Analyst, you'll be responsible for maintaining and monitoring IT systems plus installing, configuring and troubleshooting applications for users. You will support the use of the company’s Service Desk to respond to incidents and service requests – with a focus on maintaining optimum service levels. You will also support the implementation of new IT Systems and Processes, working with personnel across the business. In addition, you'll be responsible for training and educating end-users on software or hardware applications, helping them to understand how to make the most of IT systems in use throughout the business.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
- Manage and support day-to-day IT Service Delivery.
- Liaise and collaborate with contracted IT Managed Service Providers and vendors to resolve incidents and fulfil Service Requests
- Support critical line of business applications including Acumatica ERP and Siemens Opcenter Advanced Planning and Scheduling.
- Provide support for MS SQL Server Databases - including the development of ad-hoc queries and reports using MS SQL.
- Maintain and Develop Business Intelligence and Reporting using Power BI
- Support the continued deployment and development of our M365 SharePoint and Teams platforms (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- To assist with IT project activities, ensuring project milestones are met and all stake holders are kept informed on progress.
- To assist in the management and development of in-house bespoke information systems, identifying opportunities for improvement in line with IT and business strategies.
- To ensure the core company systems are running smoothly on a daily basis, working with users to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- To provide end user communication including details of major changes and scheduled system maintenance.
- To ensure security of company information systems, both physical and electronic.
- To provide user training to factory and office staff on existing and new software.
- To provide support to staff in producing information for internal or external reporting.
- To carry out any other duties as required.
Essential criteria:
- A third level qualification in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in IT Systems / Application Support
- Knowledge of ERP Systems, their component modules, and how they work together.
- Good understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) -and Cloud Platforms and Services.
- Demonstrable skills and experience in at least one of the following :
- Business Intelligence / Reporting (Creating / Developing Reports) – OR
- Application / Web Development – OR
- Database Administration – OR
- MS Power Platform Solutions Development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK/EU Driving License
Desirable criteria:
- Experience working in the Manufacturing Sector
- Experience in implementing or Supporting an ERP System
- ITIL Certified
- Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server or Development Technologies

Contract: Permanent Contract (Salaried)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week exclusive of breaks – (Monday – Friday: 8.30am - 17.00pm)
